Q. What type of accommodations does Turtle Beach Inn & Cottages offer?

A. We offer B&B rooms and one and two bedroom cottages. For adults over 21, our B&B rooms (each with private bath) are in the Inn Building. Our complimentary full breakfast prepared by our innkeepers is available from 7:30 to 10am for our guests staying at the inn. Perfect for families with children of all ages, we offer the Sand Dollar Cottage and Turtle Tower Up & Down units. These units are equipped with their own kitchens and are self-contained units. Start up supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergents, etc..) are provided and additional supplies can be purchased at the local Piggly Wiggly store.

 

Q. Will inn rooms accommodate more than 2 adults per room?

A. Maximum occupancy for each inn room at the bed & breakfast is 2 adults, no exceptions will be made. 

 

Q. Is breakfast included with my stay at the Turtle Beach Inn & Cottages?

A. Breakfast is provided for guests staying at the inn. Due to the size limitations of our lobby and dining area, breakfast is not available for guests staying at the Cottages (Sand Dollar, Turtle Tower).

 

Q. What amenities will be available with my B&B room or Cottages?

A. We offer high speed WIFI in all units. Coffee makers are furnished in our cottages. Coffee is available to Inn guests in the dining area at 7:30am. The Inn has beach chairs, beach towels, and beach umbrellas. Sand Dollar & Turtle Tower have fully equipped kitchens and washer/dryers.

 

Q. Does the Turtle Beach Inn & Cottages have a minimum night stay requirement?

A. There is a 2 night minimum stay required at the bed & breakfast building, and a 3 night minimum on holiday weekends. For the Cottages there is a 2-3 night minimum depending on the time of year. Check our availability chart for specific dates and rates or give us a call.

 

Q. When is Check-in and Check-out?

A. Check-in at the Turtle Beach Inn is from 3pm until 6pm, EASTERN STANDARD TIME. If you are going to arrive after 6:00pm please call the office at 850-229-9366 so we can give you instructions for late arrival. Bed and breakfast inn building checkout time is 11am, and both Sand Dollar Cottage and Turtle Tower Up and Down units have a 10am checkout time.

 

Q. Does Turtle Beach Inn offer discounts?

A. We offer discounted nightly and weekly rates in the Cottages in the “Off Season” from January- February.

 

Q. Does the Turtle Beach Inn stay open year-around?

A. The Cottages at Turtle Beach Inn are available year around. The bed & breakfast inn building is also open year-round in 2019 and 2020.

 

Q. Do you take pets?

A. As much as we love our furry and feathery friends, we cannot accommodate pets in any of the properties of the Turtle Beach Inn.

 

Q. Do you have an elevator on the property?

A. Sorry, but we don't have an elevator at the main bed & breakfast building or anywhere else on the property.

 

Q. Is housekeeping included in my stay?

A. Daily housekeeping “refreshes” are included at the Inn. Turtle Beach Inn is a “Green Lodge” and in an effort to conserve water and detergent wastes we do not replace towels and linens daily unless guests request that service. Information details can be found in each room. The Sand Dollar Cottage and Turtle Tower units are “self-contained” as they are provided with dishwashers, washers & dryers, vacuums and brooms.

 

Q. Do you provide beach umbrellas and beach chairs?

A. At Turtle Beach Inn & Cottages we provide complimentary beach lounge chairs, beach towels and umbrellas. If you are looking for extra umbrellas, cabanas, chairs, loungers or beach carts check out rentals from our local vendors. A couple of local options are "Happy Cabanas" at 816-694-5338 or “Smiley’s Beach Rentals” at 850-227- 1287.

 

Q. When is sea turtle nesting season?

A. May through October every year is the sea turtle nesting season. The beaches at Indian Pass and Gulf County have a “Leave No Trace” ordinance to help protect these sea creatures: please turn off all lights visible to the beach at night. Please take all beach chairs and umbrellas up when you are finished with them. Keep the beach clear of obstacles at night - fill in holes left at the beach, take down tents daily; and please no glass at the beach.
